Porn is no more a taboo thing! Now, you can watch those explicit movies in the comfort of your classroom and no body will disturb you! Because, a university in Taiwan has opened a special course to teach students how to appreciate and analyze porn movies. What? Yes, it is true, I'm not joking.
According to news reports, the Mass Communication Department of Providence University, Taiwan, just opened the voluntary course this semester and already more than 50 students have registered for the course. When registering for the course, students signed a paper agreeing that if the scenes were too explicit, they could choose to leave the classroom. Interestingly, no student had ever left the class. Is it the power of porn or something else, that tied all of them?
Well, it may have an academic reason also. As, to pass the special course, one must give a 15 minute presentation in which they analyze an audience's psychological reaction to a porn clip from an academic perspective.
Why those students joined this course? According to university officials, curiosity was the main reason for taking the course and most students admitted that their parents did not know what they were studying. Because this is really an weird topic to discuss with parents.
That's why one of the worried student, said: "If I get a very good score in this course, I don't know how I'll explain it to my parents."
Another naughty student admitted: "I am really worried my parents will see the score report when it is mailed home. I won?t know what to say if I get a high score. However if I fail the course, I can speak to my parents and suggest that maybe I should watch more porn."
So, what you think about it? Was it really necessary to create that special course? I just wonder how someone will be able to find out his/her psychological reactions that were triggered by those erotic clips?
